Summer

Feeling a wee bit old now that both my kids are in high school. My youngest started high school this summer, taking health class to get it out of the way. So I now have one Freshman, and one Junior starting this fall. Wow, where did the time go? Considering my age, I should feel lucky....I do have a step son who is 23. But I know the next 4 years are gonna fly and then we'll be empty nesters. I just can't imagine that thought.

I'd really like to enjoy this free time right now, (because I quit that last job, it SUCKED!) but it can't be done sitting here. And the only thing I really need to do, and it's NOT fun and doesn't really give me any kind of enjoyment, is cleaning. The only time it's enjoying is when it's done.

You wouldn't believe how many big ass hairballs are upstairs in our bedroom under the furniture. I dropped some jewelry and saw under my dresser, which hasn't been moved since we've lived here (since 2003). There's such a layer of dust that it said "hello"!. How the heck does it get under there? This is why I don't wear my glasses. If I do, I see a whole lot of things that need to be cleaned.

Okay, okay, gotta go and take care of some of this, and hopefully I feel some satisfaction. Do you think anyone will notice? Ah, maybe it can wait just one more day.
